The 67th annual Chatter Memorial Service, on the South Downs, just outside Brighton, which remembers the fallen servicemen from the Indian sub-continent who died in the hospitals of Brighton during the First World War, after having been injured fighting on the Western Front. The service takes place on the second Sunday in June every year and is attended by leading representatives of the UK armed forces, the Indian High Commission, the British Legion and members of the Asian community from across the country.
