In a great many localities the beds and vases were ruined and lucky are the florists who have stock enough to replace them. Business in general is very good. There have been no society weddings this season, but the number of smaller decorations and the furnishing of wedding bouquets has far exceeded last year. The June meeting of the Florists' Club was held at the residence of Presi- dent Frank J. Baker. There were about 25 members present. It was decided to hold the annual outing of the club Tuesday, July 17. A basket picnic will take the place of the usual clam bake. The members and their families will leave by trolley at 8 a. m., going to Cooperstown, N. Y., where they will enjoy a trip around the lake. Bud. Marlon, Ind. Edw. Bissell, who was grower for F. W. Herbman is now with the Marion Floral Co. Alonzo Ulch, formerly with J. W. Bernard, is now at Wabash, where he is building a new place. F. W. Herleman is cutting some fine carnation blooms for this time of year. His Enchantress was hard to beat all winter. Harry Balsley, the pot man, called on the trade the past week. JAPAN FERN BALL.
