BAYERSDORFER & CQ 1129 Arch Str««t, . ^HILADCLPHlAv PA. -'.:.'.. -Meattonyhe tfeTitv yJwp w»r^;.- ll^r SPRINOFIELD, Mass. The Market. Everything is in readiness for Easter. There is an abundance of plants for the occasion and cut flowers are all that can be desired. Roses are plen-t tiful, 'with the exception of Wards, American Beauties and Kichmonds. Kil- larneys, Tafts and Hillingdons are extra fine, ^weet peas are overabundant and it is diflScult to dispose of all of them. Carnations are the best they have been this year and will bring^ a good 'price for Easter. Violets are only fair; there will be an ample supply for the Easter trade and the price will remain mod- erate. Valley is fine. Cut white lilacsj cut deut^ias, mignonette, marguerites^ forget-me-nots and Narcissus poeticua are prime favorites now. Daffodils, bi- colors, Thomas Watkins and Golden Sbur, are plentiful and excellent in quality. In floweting plants, azaleas, lilacs, rose bushes, Easter lilies, 8pir«bas„ rhododendrons and fancy plant baskets are to be had in great numbers and the demand for them is strong. Hardy ferns and asparagus are somewhat scarce. There was quite a detnand for St. Patrick's day novelties, green carna- tions, shamrock arrangements, etc. Various Notes. M. Aitken's greenhouses at Agawam w^re open to the public on Sunday, M&reh 16, to give the residents of Springfield and vicinity an opportunity to see %he magnificent Easter display of azaleas, spiraeas, deutzias, lilacs, rose bushes, lilies, hyacintfas, etc. He has a great many Easter lilies of good qual- ity, which will all be disposed of at Easter.
