Lantz carnival. The "Blacksmiths", another character in Lantz carnival


The Carnival of Lantz is the most crowded of Navarra, Spain. After dark the streets of the town are filled with neighbors representing different characters and staging Miel Otxin capture, an evil bandit. Between the characters represented are: Miel Otxin: An wicked bandit who represents evil spirits. On Monday this doll is captured and paraded through the village. On Tuesday, after a new ride morning and evening, is executed and burned at the stake, while the townspeople dance around it. Ziripot: he'll dress with sacks stuffed with grass, this fatso personage walks the streets of Lantz while Zaldiko knocking it down continuously along the route. Zaldiko: Joyful, bouncy, he's half man, half horse. He is dressed with a horse on his waist. He always throws Ziripot to the floor. Arotzak: Are the blacksmiths, with hammers and tongs, who put horseshoes to Zaldiko.
