Thearrangement consists in attaching a small flexible suction tubeto the barrel of the Syringe, through which it is filled with waterat every discharge of the previous contents. By this means theSyringe is always charged, and the pull-up stroke of the pistonrendered perfectly easy, it having, indeed, no work to do, thebarrel being previously full of water.
