Apollo Moon boot sole. These boots are from the A7LB spacesuit that was used in the last three Apollo missions to the Moon. The sole shows the pattern of the famous bootprints left on the lunar surace by the US astronauts that walked there. A total of twelve US astronauts have walked on the Moon as part of NASA's Apollo missions. Neil Armstrong was the first, in July 1969, and Eugene Cernan the last, in December 1972.
