A vertical image of a new leafy green sprout growing out of the center of the cut stalks on the base of a celery plant. This is a way to grow a new celery plant from an old one. This is a good project for children to learn how plants grow. The base is placed in a suacer of water, when the sprout in center gets big enough transplant to pot with soil.
