Ipheion uniflorum is a non native spring flower related to he onion family alliaceae. Also known as 'Flower of the Incas' or 'Spring Star' the plant has become naturalised in the UK but is said to have originated in South America. Various cultivars in blue and lilac have been produced for garden planting.
