A wheellock rifle, German, circa 1620. Slender octagonal barrel, six groove rifled bore in 13 mm calibre. Top of the barrel grooved at the base, the master's mark, "IV" with a standing Landsknecht, is stamped on both sides of the breech. Dovetailed sights, front sight missing. The lock has an exterior covered wheel, and bears another "IV" master's mark. One lock screw has an eye for a saddle ring. Double set trigger.
