'Mond Crucifixion' (Altarpiece: 'The Crucified Christ with the Virgin Mary, Saints and Angels'), c1530. The Virgin Mary and St John the Apostle stand on either side of the cross. Figures kneeling in the foreground are St Jerome and Mary Magdalene. Angels collect Christ's blood in chalices. From the National Gallery, London.
