Ancient March, Greenhope Burn.—Some 1\ miles north-north-west of Ellemford farm-steading a mound and ditch commenceat the right bank of the Greenhope Burn, and run with an irregularcourse some 420 yards west-south-west across the moor. The trenchis deep on the side of the bank of the burn, but on the moor it hasalmost disappeared, the mound alone remaining. This is said to bea continuation of the Blackdyke (No. 4), which lies about 3 milesto the east. Ber, ix. Visited April
