Specimens have been exhibited weighing over five pounds. This variety is sure to attract great attention at fairs or fruit stands. Bulbs are of attractive form, flattened, but thick through. The average diameter of the onions is from 5 to 7^/2 inches, thus making the circumference from 15 to 22 inches. Single bulbs often a^ttain weights of from 'iV^ to 4 pounds each. The skin is a beautiful silvery white; the flesh is snow white, and of a particularly mild and pleas- ant flavor.
