RADS wildlife crossing zone for Florida panthers on US 41 at Big Cypress National Preserve where many panthers are hit by cars

Roadside Animal Detection System or RADS wildlife crossing zone for Florida panthers on US 41 at Big Cypress National Preserve where many panthers are hit by cars each year. When the system detects a panther in the area, flashing lights alert drivers to slow down or stop and watch for Florida panthers, mountain lions, or cougars. This stretch of the Tamiami Trail / US highway 41 is near Collier Seminole State Park in south Florida. Here a panther crossing sign with flashing light is shown beside the road where many panthers have been killed by drivers.
