Apollo 12 splashdown. Apollo 12 Command Module descending to splashdown in the Pacific Ocean, with US astronauts Charles 'Pete' Conrad, Richard Gordon and Alan Bean on board. Apollo 12 took place from 14-24 November 1969. It was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, with Conrad and Bean touching down on the Moon on 19 November 1969. Gordon remained in orbit around the Moon in the Command Module. The moment of splashdown in the Pacific occurred at 14:58 on 24 November 1969, near American Samoa.
