Nasogastric medical training. Close-up of a test card being consulted as part of the training of medical students in the use of nasogastric tubing. The pH test card is colour-coded for the results of acidity tests on the aspirate obtained from the patient's stomach via the tubing. The results of the tests indicate whether the patient should be fed, fed with caution, or not fed at all. This training is taking place at the Skillslab facility at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), Leiden, the Netherlands. It is used to teach medical students under controlled conditions. Photographed in February 2016.
