Shields, a well knownemploye, occurred at the family home at Beaver Street. Mr. Shields was fifty-three years old and had been in the service ofthe Company for twenty-one years. He was honest and conscientious about hisduties and had the esteem of all who knew death is sincerely regretted. He was bornin Meigs County, Ohio, in 1861 and moved toParkersburg seventeen years ago.
