Sheridan, General Custer com-manding the brigade, and Dr. McNulty ofWashington, Pa., being captain of CompanyC. Isaac N. Beighley and his brothers,Henry B., who also served in the Twenty-second Cavalry, and George W., who was inCompany F, One Hundred and Thirty-sev-enth P. V. I., passed through the war un-scathed, although they participated in manybattles. Towards the close of the war, IsaacN. Beighley served as chief orderly underCaptain Ray. of Pittsburg, Gen. He is a son of Eli and the late Anne(Monroe) Halfin, both of whom were nativesof Pennsylvania. Eli Halfin was a miller atDunkard postoffice, Greene county. Pa.,where he still lives. His wife die
