Two Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft of the French Air Force in Malta during operations over Libya, May 2011

The two aircraft are shown after landing in Malta on 31 May 2011, following an emergency diversion during operations over Libya. The diversion became necessary when the second aircraft broke its nose refuelling probe during air-to-air refuelling. The damage is quite visible when one compares the probes of the two aircraft (located just ahead of the cockpit).
