On thesecond day before the one set for discharge, just to give us a parting reminderthat nothing is certain in the army, the Battery was placed in quarantine becauseof a scarlet fever suspect, and visions of home cooking beat a sudden hours later, however, fickle fortune smiled again, and the quarantinewas lifted.
