MOTT-LY MUSINGS. A. J. Hilton, of Amsterdam, N. Y., commenting on the unfavorable season for asters outdoors, predicts a more ex- tensive cultivation of this essential flower under glass. Its loss has been severely felt this season, when funeral work has been unusually plentiful. J. O. Graham, of Little Falls, N. Y., thinks that there will be an unusually large attendance at the flower show in New York next spring, chiefly for the reason that it occurs at the most active season of the year, when the spirit is in the air, so to speak.
