Schwaneberg, Germany - April 27, 2018: On the edge of the village of Schwaneberg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, stand the Tupenfelder of the family business Christiane Degenhardt, which begins harvesting tulip bulbs today. Next to red and purple tulips there are yellow tulips in a row. The company has been cultivating bulbs for over 100 years. Ernst Degenhardt laid the foundation stone of the nursery. He started his own business as a landscape gardener in Magdeburg in 1905. In a short time, he expanded the business and developed it into a specialist cauliflower company - today the family lives mainly from the cultivation of tulip bulbs.
