Gaziantep, Turkey. 08 January 2023. Rescue operations continue incessantly in Gaziantep, following Monday's magnitude earthquake in southern Turkey. Constant aftershock waves and damaged roads are hampering efforts in dealing with the emergency. Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul has mentioned that 531 buildings have been either damaged or destroyed in the city of Gaziantep by the two major quakes and following aftershocks. Basic necessities shops and supermarket have also bene requested to reopen in Gaziantep by the municipality
