Mclnnis, ameeting of Asheville Presbytery was calledfor August 11, to dissolve the pastoral re-lationship between Mr. Mclnnis and theCanton Church and dismiss him to KingsMountain Presbytery. Mr. Mclnnis, who has been pastor ofthe Canton Church since August of 1946,has received a call to the Mount HollyPresbyterian Church in Kings MountainPresbytery and has expressed his desire totake up work in that field on September 1. During his pastorate of four years hisChurch has grown in membership to has served on various committees of thePresbytery. In 1948 he was Director of. Walter G. Somerville the Pioneer Camp held at Camp Hope inHaywood County. During the spring of1949 he was named one of the adult ad-visors of the Presbyterian Youth Fellow-ship. In accepting the call to Mount Holly,Mr. Mclnnis will be succeeding Rev. W. , who left that Church to becomepastor of the West Asheville Church inthis Presbytery. The called meeting of the Presbyterywas set for 3:00 , Thursday, August11, at the Canton Church. The Moderator,Howell E. Adams, issued the call at the re-quest of two ministers and two rulingelders of the Presbytery. HIGHLANDS DEDICATESREMODELED BASEMENT At the time of going to press, a servicewas planned at the Highlands PresbyterianChurch for the opening of their newly ex-cavated and furnished basement for edu-cational purposes, with Rev. J. B. David-son, of Spencer, a former pastor, preach-ing the sermon. The time of the servicewas set for 11:00 , Sunday, August14. At a service in July a new Hammondor
