Namche Bazaar is the main trekking village of the Khumbu and can only be reached on foot or by helicopter. The Everest Base Camp, Gokyo and Three Passes treks all pass through the village which is situated on a high bowl at the confluence of the Dudh and Bhote Koshi valleys.
