A. and this year the fruiting is remarkable. A small block of Saintpaulia ionantha, splendidly flowered, is an unusual sight, and a novelty as a Christmas plant. The violet-like flowers, deep blue, among the compact primula-like foliage, are pleas- ing. There are many other plant sub- jects to be seen at Miller's, including several begonias not usually coming un- der notice. Somehow, begonias seem to be prime favorites of the worthy presi- dent of the S. A. F. and it is quite evident that he grows some of the varie- ties for his own pleasure. A number of specimen plants of Plumbago capensis are seen, and among the primulas there is a big stock of malacoides, Townsendii variety. Apart from the plant stock in- tended for immediate sales, the stocks of dormant material for follow-up use seen in the various storehouses at this establishment would lead one to suppose that Mr. Miller does not intend that one square inch of his glass should go unem- ployed for months to come. The next meeting of the New York Florists' Club will be held in the club's quarters in the Engineering Societies' building, Monday evening, December 13.
