. Annual catalogue. Nursery stock New York (State) Honeoye Falls Catalogs; Potatoes Seeds Catalogs; Vegetables Seeds Catalogs; Gardening Equipment and supplies Catalogs. Last year we sold the stock of Irish Daisy to Wm. Henry Maule, reserving several hundred bushels for our own planting the past season. This is truly a great Potato. It has a skin that is pure white, the tubers are round to oblong in shape, per- haps not as good form as some other varieties, but still they will sell upon the market for Burbank or White Star. They ripen with the Rural New Yorher No. 2 and Potatoes of that class, but are enormous yielders. We have had these Potatoes yield with us in field culture at the rate of over 400 bushels per acre, and on our test grounds they ran on a quarter of an acre over 4 lbs. per hill of merchantable tubers from one eye planted, while we had one hill that gave 15 lbs. 9 oz. of tubers, and 5 HILLS THAT PRODUCED OVER 1 BUSHEL. The Irish Daisy is especially adapted to extremely strong, rich, well cultivated and well fertilized soil. The reason for this is that this variety sets a large number of tubers and it is essential to have plenty of fertility at hand to have them attain large size. We Predict for this variety a heavy sale, and believe it will prove as popular as did the Freeman, which was introduced as well by our friend Maule. We wish to state right here that there will be a great many Potatoes sold this year for Irish Daisy that are not Irish Daisy at all, as there is another Potato, a good yielder, but so extremely late that it never gets ripe, that some unscrupulous seeds- men are foisting upon the innocent public under the name of Irish Daisy, that is an entirely different and practically valueless Potato and only resembles it in appearance. We know that if you buy Irish Daisy of Wm. Henry Maule or of us you get genuine stock. It will prove a good general purpose Potato, as it has averaged 40 barrels from one planted right straight through this se
