The America?i de-posits stumps and boulders 30 feet on either side of thecenter grade line, thus clearing a 60-foot right-of-way,and with the pullback drum can remove such ma-terial to a greater distanceif desired, by use of snatchblock. This drum holds 725feet of 5 8 inch wire rope. The steam shovel failsin this performance for thethe following reasons: First—Fixed boom rad-ius. Second—Does not work %%in full circle.
