African Clawed Frog aka Platanna, Xenopus laevis, Pipidae. Sub Saharan African Amphibian. They have small black claws on the first three toes of their hind limbs, hence their name. Totally aquatic, living in slow flowing or stagnant water, or burrowing into mud in times of drought. Albino varieties are sold as pets.
