Yangon, Myanmar - 23 January 2013 Located on Singuttara Hill in the centre of Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar, Shwedagon Pagoda is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, as it is believed to contain relics of the four previous Buddhas of the present kalpa. Its giant golden stupas - shown here - dominate the city. But then I got adventurous and turned the shot into something more colourful and abstract, using a combination of Photoshop techniques including image folding, rotation, multi-layer blending, transformations and gradient mapping.
