J JOHN HUNT Superior Judge LTDGE JOHN HUNT, for morethan thirty-five years a memberof the Superior Court of California,was born in Philadelphia, but cameto San Francisco in Jul}. , andhas ever since been continuouslyidentified with the history of theCity and State. Choosing the lawas his profession, he was fortunatein being able to pursue his studiesin the law office of Hall ]\IcAl-lister, for many years universallyrecognized as the leader of the Cali-fornia Bar. This association re-sulted in a warm feeling of mutualesteem, and when death removedthe elder man, Judge Hunt took aforemost part in the erection of astatue in his honor. The ?McAllisterstatue still stands in the grounds of the old City Hall.
