An elegant Irish woman and her son in Ireland in the late 19th century, by photographer M. Lennon of South Richmond Street, Dublin

An elegant wasp-waisted mother and her son, wearing a fleecy woollen jacket, during the late 1800s in Dublin, Ireland. Direct from an original late 19th century cabinet card photograph by M. Lennon of South Richmond Street, Dublin. M. Lennon was listed in the Thom's directories for Dublin of 1899 and 1902 at an address in South Richmond Street. He is probably to be associated with the photographer Michael Lennon whose work is well represented in the Hogan Collection held by the Irish National Photographic Archive at Temple Bar, Dublin. This photograph comes from the archives of a Dublin family who left Ireland for England shortly after the Easter Rising of 1916.
