There is a fine supply of calendulas, candytuft, bachelor's buttons, snap- dragons and cosmos. Cattleyas have shortened up. Some C. Percivaliana in addition to C. labi- ata are now to be seen. There are plenty of cypripediums, but the call for these is only moderate. Gardenias are in demand this week. There is an ex- cellent call for adiantum and asparagus. Growers of pot plants have had a good trade in Lorraine and Cincinnati begonias, cyclamens, azaleas, poinset- tias, berried plants, palms, etc. It is unusual to see so many well developed poinsettias as early as Thanksgiving. Various Notes. Elijah Cartwright, of Wellesley, had a fine crop of Bonnaffon mums for Thanksgiving. He will follow these with stocks and other spring flowers. Aubrey A. Pembroke, of North Bev- erly, is sending to the Boston Flower Exchange large quantities of Gloriosa, Pink Delight, White Enchantress, Bea- con and Beverly carnations. The last named is one of Mr. Pembroke's seed- lings, salmon pink in color, and sells extremely well. Penn's, on Bromfield street, are equipped for a heavy Thanksgiving trade. They have a grand lot of pot plants, including a splendid lot of poin- settias in pans. Willow Hill Greenhouses, of West Eoxbury, have this week a fine lot of Garza, Diana and Savannah among small mums, and Chadwick and
