King Ludwig II of Bavaria (1845 - 1886). A two-piece tie pin with a connecting chain. Gilded silver, the heads of the pin in the shape of Turk's busts set with a variety of semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. Beautiful craftsmanship, presumably from the 18th century. In a blue velvet-lined case from the court jeweller Rottmanner, Munich, stamped with the royal seal and bearing an inventory label (tr) "worn by Ludwig II". Cf.
