It is still a question whether this is a distinct species, or only a variety of E. anwrtciOKi. Tliere , however, little ground lor the last supposition, altliotigh its nirity is a mystery. The original tyite specimen of this species, collected by Dr. J. K. Town- send, still continues to be the oidy one known, and hits been presented by its owner. Dr. K.
