Marine Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black receives an award from Brig. Gen. David A. Ottignon during the 1st Marine Logistics Group Relief and Appointment Ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 7, 2017. Black relinquished his post as the sergeant major of 1st MLG to Sgt. Maj. Lonnie N. Travis during the ceremony at the 11 Area Parade Field. The ceremony included marching of the colors, passing of the sword of office, presenting Sgt. Maj. Travis his award and closing remarks from the oncoming and outgoing personnel.
