General prolapse forms a cylindrical tumor, whichoccupies the normal place of the meatus and presents at its endan opening which is at times difficult to discover; it is seldom re-ducible. These tumors caase pain spontaneouslyand at the moment of urination or coitus, and they may be the originof vaginismus; ^^ there are also occasionally crises of dysuria andretention by reflex action.
