A Belgian presentation sabre à la Mameluke, circa 1830 Lightly curved blade with broad fullers, both sides etched with vine work and martial trophies, the back of the blade etched with leaf decoration. Gold-plated brass hilt decorated in relief. The grip strap bears the presentation inscription, "Offert par les Membres de la 5me Cie 6me Baton a leur Capne le Baon de Wykerslooth". Ivory grip scales (one repaired).
