Louis XVI (1754–1793), King of France 1790 Jean Laurent Mosnier French Mosnier was a favored portraitist at the French court, who worked both on ivory and on canvas; after the French Revolution, he led an itinerant life, moving first to London and then Hamburg and St. Petersburg.
