He has been afavored son of fortune. From the time of 1870, whenhe was a i)oor boy without a dollar to his name, he hasaccumulated more lluiii twenty thousand dollars up tothis dale, and with his and fine business e.\-prrience, it will be safe to say that within the next fewyears he will more than double that amount. In 1S71 he married Rebecca Wells, to whom werehorn five children. After her death, he married AmyStaniper. and to them were born a like number of chil-dren. Mr. Durbin certainly approves of Roosevelts ideason the subject of matrimony. Mr. Durbin is Postmasterat Old Landing. He was last month elected Sheriff ofEstill Mr. W. T. B. WilUamR, whose photograph is herewithpresented, is an a<l<nowledBed leader in the financialworld. That is. he was until four .vcars ago death tookhim from his numerous friends. He had, however, beenblessed with a long life, being at the time of his years of age. He was regarded as a prominentman in business elrfles. At the lime of his death he wasthe head of the banking establishment of \V. T. and Sons. Springing from the home of a poorfarmer, he deserves the praise which he getsbecause of his remarkable success in life. He was amember of Bibb Lodge, F. and A. M. and was buried by that body, assisted by the Richmond Lodg
