They may also be naturalized in grass, wild gardens, etc. For bedding they are superl), while as cut flowers they are much to be pre- ferred to the early type, having long stems with flow- ers of great substance that stand cut in a perfect con- dition for a long time. We have tested over one hundred of the best varieties, and offer the selection of twenty sorts with every confidence that they will give complete satisfaction. The heights given are actual measurements, taken at our trial grounds May lOlh to loth. These, of course, are liable to vary accord- ing to soil and other conditions.
