This photograph shows a gun on blocks at the government arsenal in Watervliet, , during World War One. The gun is undergoing additional finishing work, with each part being shrunk on before other parts are applied. When finished outside of the carriage, a 12" gun weighs about 58 tons and measures approximately 50' overall. Censored and released by the War College Division on April 20, 1918.
