The last Clarion House in Lancashire set up by the Labour party during the industrial Revolution for factory,,cotton mills and Mining workers


The building was built by the Labour Paarty as a place were workersin factories and mill who only had Sunday off as a day of rest. Walkers and cyclists would get out into the countryside surrounding he Cotton and mining towns where that could get a hot cup of tea and a place to eat the home made sandwiches they carried. There used to be many Clarion Houses but this one is still in use every Sunday manned by volunteers
