We have heretofore considered . /. fraiiihrla to he a raliforniri coastal species, hut a recent letter from Mr. X. \.. \\. Krauss states that Rev. Edw. Gucdet records it from as far east as Colo- rado. north to British Columbia, and south to the Chiricahua Mountains. Arizona. If Guedet's identification of the species is correct, and we can presume that it is in view of his careful work- in the Geometrids, the species ranges from the Rocky Mountain states west to the Pacific, including lower California. ^^'e are indebted to X.
