Bishopthorpe Palace, home to the Archbishop of York
Bishopthorpe Palace, home to the Archbishops of York for over 750 years. Originally built by Archbishop Walter de Grey and replacing the Old Manor House of St Andrews. The building was added to by further Archbishops before reaching its present size in around 1900. Today housing working offices, worship areas, meeting rooms and living spaces.
