Valtournenche is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy. Valtournenche is located 1,524 metres above sea level; it is the birthplace of the most famous Cervino guides, commemorated in a stone located in the main square of the town. The town spreads out over the beautiful vale overlooking the valley basin, among vast pasture and conifer woodland. The ski resort offers 45 Km of pistes and it is also connected to Breuil-Cervinia, which can be accessed with skis on your feet. In medieval times it belonged to the Lords of Cly and was then passed on to the Savoys.
