On the main A6 road at the eastern end of Disley stands the White Lion pub. The White Lion there is a Zebra painted on it?

On the main A6 Buxton road to the east of Manchester stands the village of Disley. Here on the corner of Red House Lane you will find the White Lion pub. You’ll wonder why there is a zebra painted on the side of the building? As of the landlord and he'll tell you it is to distinguish this White Lion from all the rest in the country. It's also got a bush growing out of a chimney stack. The pub is just up the road from the Peak Forest Canal.
