The Quesnel Forks Cemetery dates back to 1859 when the town of Quesnel Forks was established at the junction of the Quesnel and Cariboo Rivers to support the Cariboo Gold Rush of 1860-1862. The town was finally abandoned in the 1950s. It is interesting to read the grave markers and see that people had died from accidents, mine collapses, falling rocks, small pox, drowning, and murder among other causes.
