Leopard slug (Limax maximus). It is widespread in Europe, but has been accidentally introduced in many other parts of the world. Its diet includes fungi, rotting plants and even other slugs. It typically grows up to sixteen centimetres in size, and mates while suspended from a tree branch by a thick strand of mucus.
