Picture by Roger Bamber 30 January 2001 Sculptor Tim Lees of Cliveden Conservation works on a 10 ft 6 inch high statue of Lord Cobham at the Kilmersdon workshop near Bath using the shattered pieces of the original which was sruck by lightning on the top of its 104 foot high stone pillar in 1957 The Portland stone figure dressed in Roman costume is being carved from 15 ton blocks and will be hoisted back onto its tall plinth at the National Trusts Stowe Gardens Buckinghamshire in May
