Anti nuclear protesters occupy a weather tower at Hinkley point nuclear power station circa 1984

Protesters on top of a weather tower with a banner opposing the possible construction of a fast breeder reactor at Hinkley point nuclear power station in somerset. Information presented to the sizewell public enquiry stated that this was a selected possible site for the UKs first FBR. As of 2009 no commercial full scale FBRs have been built or are sceduled to be built in the UK. Only the experimental reactor at Dounrey has been built and is currently being dismantled.
